Замковый костёл

The three-nave Gothic church was built by Count Otto II at the end of the 15th century above the outer ward that secured the approach to the castle.

Presumably the church was consecrated in 1501. Since that time it remained largely unchanged. For centuries, the church served as a Protetant parish church. As it is recognized as a simultaneus church since 2005, both Protestant and Catholic ceremonies can take place here. Today the Braunfels castle church is a charming, popular place to get married.
