If you liked Braunfels Castle, you will also like Bad Homburg Castle, 43 km away. In the past, the Solms-Braunfelser had maintained close ties to the Hessian landgrave family. In the early baroque palace, the living quarters of the last imperial couple and the surrounding park are particularly worth seeing. Since November 2021, the new permanent exhibition “From Landgrave Seat to Imperial Castle” has been providing information about the history of the place free of charge.
Tip: If you present an admission ticket (normal price) from Braunfels Castle at the Bad Homburg Castle ticket office, you will receive a discount on the normal admission price – and vice versa (one-off, double discounts are excluded).
