Routes to Braunfels
Highway A5 Frankfurt-Kassel until the Gambach motorway junction
Take exit Wetzlar Ost onto the B49 in the direction of Limburg.
Follow until the Leun exit, then follow signposts for ca. 4 km until Braunfels.
Highway A3 Köln-Frankfurt until Limburg Nord exit
Take the B49 in the direction of Giessen until the Solms exit, then follow signposts for ca. 5 kilometres to Braunfels.
Highway A7 Hannover-Kassel
Take the A5 towards Frankfurt am Main.
At the Reiskirchener Dreieck take the A480 until Gießen Nord, then the A429 which merges into the B49 in the direction of Limburg.
Follow until the Leun exit, then follow signposts for ca. 4 km until Braunfels.
When you reach Braunfels:
Please follow the signs for P-SCHLOSS, turn left up the hill and go past the Jahnplatz car park to reach our convenient and free parking lot directly outside the castle walls.
Public Transport
The Lahntal station called ‘Leun/Braunfels’ is on the Gießen to Limburg railway line. The trains are every 60 min. during peak time, sometimes every 30 min. It is a 4 km walk to the castle from the station.
There are also frequent bus connections from Wetzlar to Braunfels.
