Complete your visit with Weilburg Castle and experience baroque splendor just 12 km away! The “Pearl on the Lahn” was built in 1702 by Count Johann Ernst zu Nassau-Weilburg after he had become acquainted with the magnificent court of the Sun King Louis XIV of France. Incidentally, the beautiful clothes worn by his daughter Magdalena Henrietta von Nassau-Weilburg are on display in our family museum.
Tip: If you present an entrance ticket (normal price) from Braunfels Castle at the Weilburg Castle ticket office, you will receive a discount on the normal entrance price – and vice versa (one-off, double discounts are excluded).
