German-language guided castle tour
From the fairytale-like castle courtyard, through the Knights’ Hall, the reception rooms, the Altenberg Rooms, the Deiker Gallery, the Blue and Pink Salons to the Cannon Square. These highlights can only be seen as part of a guided tour.

Daily from 11.00 to 17.00 on the hour, Sundays and public holidays from 10.00 to 17.00; duration: 50 mins. (Times from November onwards on request).
Family tours for children and (grand)parents through the castle courtyard, via the Knights’ Hall, up to the highest tower and, to round off the tour, to the cannon sqaure.
On Easter Sunday and Monday, 1 May, Ascension Day, Whit Sunday and Whit Monday, Corpus Christi and German Unity Day (3 October) at 11.30 am, 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm, 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm; duration: 50
The former private treasury, containing numerous personal items from the collections and estates of members of the princely family, is best explored at your own pace using the free audio guide.
Open daily from around 8.30 am until dusk; entry via turnstile and coin-operated machine
A wide range of guided tours awaits you at Braunfels Castle! In addition to educational museum tours, children’s birthday parties and family tours for our younger visitors, as well as group, themed and interactive tours, we also organise guided tours in English, French, Russian and Polish.

Please note: Groups that fail to turn up or arrive significantly late without giving sufficient notice will be charged a flat-rate fee (of up to €20), as we have to keep staff on standby.

If you submit a current Braunfels ticket (regular price) at the entrance of either Bad Homburg Castle, Weilburg Castle, Muenzenberg Castle or at the mine “Fortuna, you´ll receive a discount on the regular price – and vice versa (once, double discounts are excluded). Additionally you can purchase the new attractive castle booklet in English language for 5€ (instead of 5,90€).
With a voucher from castle Braunfels at the Ernst Leitz Museum, you can get two tickets for the price of one.
